Motorbikes
Motorbikes, scooters, and electric two-wheelers
About this category
Motorbikes remain the dominant transport in most of Myanmar outside downtown Yangon (where two-wheelers are restricted). The motorbike section will list new and used bikes filterable by brand (Honda, Yamaha, Kenbo, SYM, Suzuki), engine size, year, and township — with a dedicated segment for electric two-wheelers, which are gaining ground on short-range city commutes.
What will be listed
- Used motorbikes — Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kenbo, SYM
- New bikes from authorised dealers
- Electric scooters and mopeds
- Parts, accessories, and helmets
Buying & safety guidance
This advice applies today, even before the section opens.
- 1Check the registration book (ကားစာအုပ်) — the frame number and engine number must match the bike itself.
- 2Test-ride the bike in daylight, in traffic — brake feel, gear shifts, and any unusual engine sounds are easier to catch on the road.
- 3Ask what has been repaired or replaced in the last 2–3 years — bikes with many recent repairs often have unresolved underlying issues.
- 4Inspect the item in person before paying — never send money to a seller you have not met.
- 5Verify the seller's identity and phone number. Ask for a video call if you cannot meet in person.
Launch status
Motorbikes will open after Property. The plan is to seed initial listings from dealers in Mandalay and Naypyidaw first, where two-wheeler demand is highest.
