Mon Traditional Clothing

Red is the Mon national color: men's deep-red pinstriped longyi with white collarless shirts and red-checkered scarves; women's red htamein with golden-yellow blouses and the distinctive yat toot/sbai shoulder cloth wrapped diagonally over the chest. Hair traditionally wrapped around a decorative comb. Hninzi flower worn at festivals.
